Countless years out of college radio, and nine+ years at 107.1 XRAY-fm, Kristin B. (a.k.a. DJ Kiki) is still at it, personing the turntables (and laptop and CD players) through thick and thin, pandemic and cancer and broken ankles and jobs and no jobs and all the messy muddle of life as a human. Music keeps her going, and sharing tunes with like-minded XRAY listeners is a huge part of that. This DJ ain't no algorithm, and she pre-dates the streaming era -- but loves to take advantage of it.

Kiki spins new and old favorites from the everchanging, always widening worlds of pop, indie, hip-hop, psych, soul, strum and drum, drone, twang, and lo-fi for your hi-fi. It’s music for the Big Day Coming*, a ride from the ‘60s & '70s to today, across rivers and oceans and international borders. Driving and Talking at the Same Time*, DJ Kiki often falls prey to the Short Poppy Syndrome*.

In our yellow '73 Dodge Dart Swinger, we make frequent stops along the Jersey Turnpike (Crazy Rhythms* at exit 14C in Hoboken), crossing the bridges (and tunnels) to Manhattan and Brooklyn, training it to Carolina, the two Washingtons (DC and Olympia), Portland, and the Golden State, and racking up frequent flyer miles to New Zealand, Oz, Glasgow, London, Athens (Georgia). We'll explore wherever great pop gems can be mined.
