On Monday nights, I love to blast music out over the Portland and North Oregon Coast airwaves from 8 - 9 pm. Some people like to listen to that. Maybe you're one of them. Maybe you stream the show online over the Internet.

My show, the Big City Radio Show features vinyl records that encapsulate their epoch: the punk, no wave, new wave explosion, along with progenitor genres and artists, and musical descendants, with heavy emphasis on the years 1976 - 1983.

I like to present that music in authentically reconstituted, recontextualized slices. Way back when, people didn't listen to only hardcore, only goth (nobody even called it that), only synth-pop, only no wave, only glam, only dub, only "classic" (barf) punk. We listened to all the stuff that sprang from the common impluse of the punk moment, and we hung out with all sorts of people. Like we have been doing with the Big City Radio Show for almost 10 years now.
